Michael Phelps Swimming
The Bay Club Company is the only authorized provider of Michael Phelps Swimming in the Bay Area, and all of our instructors are trained in this method. So whether you take lessons or take part in any of our aquatics programs, you’re assured of the best training possible.
The Michael Phelps Swimming method is founded on the belief that swim instruction should be about more than just motor skills (i.e., kicking, stroking, rhythmic breathing). Swimmers also need to understand the properties of water—the hows and whys of swimming—thereby developing the whole athlete. In addition to learning personal safety, stroke technique, and rescue skills, our participants also learn how we float and achieve balance in the water, why we breathe rhythmically and need to have certain body positions, and why we need to feel the water. But it's not all work! We've taken our time in selecting the most competent instructors, who we then train to introduce these concepts in fun and imaginative ways!

For your convenience, racquet restringing is available at the Tennis office. Racquets may be dropped off at The Shop and will be ready for pickup in 24 hours.
Bay Club Carmel Valley hosts several competitive tennis leagues, including women's teams rated 2.5 to 5.0, and men's teams rated 3.0 to 5.0.
National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP)
NTRP is the official system for determining a player's competitive skill level. This self-rating system lets players use numbers to rank their level. The scale uses 1 to designate beginners and increases in increments of 0.5 up to 8, which designates world-class level. For more information, visit the USTA SoCal website.

Tournaments & Social Events
Bay Club Carmel Valley hosts a wide variety of social events to connect our tennis-playing members, including Wimbledon Night and our weekly TGIF event, which combines mix-and-match tennis with complimentary wine and cheese. We host annual Mother’s and Father’s Day Socials, group outings to watch major tournaments, and more. View the program calendar for details.
The Club also hosts and participates in many tennis events throughout the year, including the annual Breast Cancer Pro-Am and the Rally for the Kids tennis auction and fundraiser.
Lessons & Clinics
Our staff of USPTA professionals offers high-quality instruction, lessons, and clinics for every skill level on a year-round basis. Coaching can be tailored to your individual needs or the needs of the group to strengthen every aspect of your game.
Private, semi-private, and group lessons are available to all members, seven days a week during club hours. Lessons are available for 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions. If you prefer, you may sign up as an individual, and we will help you form a group.
Our clinics provide both beginners and advanced players with an NTRP rating of 1.0 or above with individualized attention to develop skills.

Our unique approach features a variety of classes taught by expert instructors, private instruction in our Personal Pilates & Gyrotonic Studio, sport-specific training, Pilates performances, parties, and more.
At the Bay Club, our goal is to offer a comprehensive and affordable Pilates program that will provide you the opportunity to experience a range of instruction, while you safely and effectively progress your Pilates practice. With this in mind, we give you Pilates Prime. This innovative new membership gives you unlimited access to our Pilates Allegro classes at the low rate of $109 per month. What’s more, as a Pilates Prime member, you’ll also receive special discounted rates on personal studio instruction!
With this membership, you’ll have the ability to attend any of the Allegro classes on the schedule. And class sign-ups can be made up to three days in advance at the Reception Desk, or online via the website. Additionally, our Prime Guaranteed membership option gives you the ability to pre-book your class times prior to the beginning of each month for only $149 per month.

Get together for friendly pickup games and league competition on our regulation NCAA basketball court,six baskets for full- and half-court play, glass backboards, and an electronic scoreboard.
League play at Bay Club Carmel Valley is highly competitive and fun. We play year-round on Tuesday and Thursday nights. The Bay Club provides official referees, scorekeepers, team jerseys, weekly statistic updates, and a post-season championship game. Leagues are open to all club members, but you must be at least 18 years of age.
Players form their own teams in our Open League. Games are on Thursday nights at 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 8:30 pm. Participation is limited to the first eight teams to sign up and submit their rosters. Elect your team captain and then get ready for an exciting 10-week season.
40 & Over League
The 40 & Over League plays on Tuesday nights. Games are scheduled at 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:30 pm. To determine teams, team captains hold a draft at the beginning of each season. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. The league runs for at least 10 weeks.

The Club's Gymnasium is a family facility designed to be a center of fun, friendly competition, and good sportsmanship. Members and guests are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. Violence and/or profane language will not be tolerated.
Whether you're a seasoned player or picking up the racquet for the first time, we have a full range of top-notch squash programs for players of all ages and abilities. Bay Club Carmel Valley features two immaculate, glass-backed international courts.

Private lessons are the most efficient way to improve the technical, physical, and mental aspects of your game. A squash lesson at Bay Club Carmel Valley usually includes a skills assessment, followed by instruction for improving your technique and honing your match strategy. Our pros can also design lessons around your specific goals and interests.
To cancel your lesson, we require at least 24 hours’ notice or your account will be charged in full.
Our squash pros regularly schedule challenge events, inter-club matches, exhibitions, group clinics and other activities.

Our quarterly Singles League is a fantastic way for you to meet other members and playing partners. This flex-format league allows you to schedule a match with a different player every week. The top player from each flight will be in the playoffs for the championship.
Squash court reservations are for 60 minutes each and begin at 5:30 am. Courts can be booked online up to three days in advance, starting at 7:30 am. You may also book a court by calling the Reception Desk at 858.509.9933
Bay Club Carmel Valley hosts open play badminton for beginning and experienced players. Our staff is available for tips and instruction, as well as private and group lessons.

Open play is available on a first-come, first-served basis. One of our associates is usually on hand to help organize matches.
