BIO

Before becoming a pilates instructor, Andre Levitt was a professional ballet dancer. Throughout his career he performed as a soloist with Dance Theatre of Harlem, and was a principle with both the Oakland & Hartford Ballet. His love for movement and body expression led him to an affinity for Argentine Tango Performance. In 1985, her suffered a knee injury and chose Pilates instead of surgery. In 1999, he was certified in Pilates under Kim Holmes and later in Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis. He now devotes his time to specializing in programs promoting rapid recovery from back, spine and disc injuries.
