Michelle Nayeli Bouvier

Yoga Instructor & Movement Educator


A Prana Vinyāsa™ E-RYT 500 (soon 1008hr), Certified AcroYoga teacher, Thai Yoga Therapist, Hoopdance pioneer, and self-proclaimed body nerd, Michelle has taught yoga and movement full-time since 2002. She has been a guest teacher at festivals, conferences, and events internationally, and is the founder of EmBody Retreats, an exploration of the shared roots of yoga and dance in various forms.

Michelle is on the Teacher Training faculty of the Yoga Garden San Francisco, Samudra Global School of Living Yoga, Āvāhana School of Yoga & Expressive Healing Arts, and Hoop Vinyasa. 

Always furthering her knowledge, Michelle is a student of Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga. She also studies The Axis Syllabus, a paradigm-shifting lexicon of movement principles derived from applied knowledge of anatomy, physics, and biomechanics that teach safe, efficient patterns, applicable to all human movement.

Michelle maintains a private practice in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, specializing in therapeutic yoga and bodywork to pattern healthy movement, and lifestyle coaching based in Ayurveda, pranayama, and meditation to support balance in her clients’ lives.

Michelle’s mission is to liberate the linear! She is dedicated to bringing circular, undulatory and rhythmic movement to the yoga mat, through the wisdom of Prāna Vinyāsa, Ayurveda, and the Axis Syllabus.
